The "BoltRight" software programme is designed to assist engineers, in the Oil, Gas and Petro-Chemical industries, by calculating accurate bolt torque and tension figures for a wide variety of bolted joints in pipelines, compressors, condensers, heat exchangers etc... Suitable for running on the Microsoft Windows operating systems, the programme allows the user to input key joint data i.e. flange class and size, operating temperature, bolt material, bolt size and clamp length, gasket material and type, and thread lubricant (for torquing) along with the applicable friction co-efficient when using hydraulic stud bolt tensioners. The BoltRight programme also allows the user to generate a bolt torque or bolt tensioning procedure, dependent on the method of tightening selected, and includes options to print or store this traceable procedure within the PC. The procedure can also include critical joint information such as location, joint tag reference, organisation details and person carrying out the bolt tightening work. A Hi-Force recommended bolt tightening procedure using Hi-Force bolting tools is also included in the report.
A new addition to the Hi-Force software family, is "LiftRight". This software package will help users to select the correct cylinder and/or pump unit, starting from selection criteria specified by the user, such as requested capacity, stroke and closed height. The software will automatically select the most suitable equipment from the extensive range of Hi-Force products available. Output will include essential information such as outline dimensions and product weight. The software can also be used to provide detailed information on a specific product, by entering the model number.
Both "BoltRight" and "LiftRight" are available free of charge to Hi-Force customers by download from our website. Commercial versions for non Hi-Force customers are also available on CD and by download, after obtaining a download link and password.
